I was 5 years old when my parents realized that I have ADHD. I was always watching my mom do her crochet and sewing. She used to make all my clothes and I've been on trend all the time with my wardrobe. It was then that they discovered that I am interested in yarns and stuff. So, she gave me a crochet hook and a ball of yarn and taught me how to do a chain. Since then, the only way that my parents were able to manage my ADHD, was to give me a crochet hook and yarn and I would sit in a corner and continuously make chains, unravel them and do it all over again. It helped me a lot. I was able to transfer my hyperactivity and focus my attention into a project.
I also had an aunt, my mom's eldest sister, who was a Home Economics teacher for 60 years at College of the Holy Spirit in the Philippines. She was the one who taught me to cross-stitch, knit, crochet and everything else. I taught myself to do diamond painting and realized it is something that I like, too. She also taught me everything she knew and I became the heiress to all the tools of her craft.
Since then, I was never without a needle, a crochet hook or knitting needles. I hope you enjoy stitching and diamond painting as much as I do and enjoy my site!
